1. DISOBEDIENT BROADCASTING

The user’s voice is overwhelmed and replaced by the Voice of the Machine. When a member of the audience speaks into the -microphone (A) a sound-operated relay switch triggers a sound chip at (B) carrying a pre-recorded voice which plays from the horn (C) drowning out the voice of the user. The sound card has four “segments” with different recordings so the participant’s subsequent attempts to make themselves heard will give an initial impression of being arbitrary and unpredictable.
This piece will be available as a multiple in an edition of 10 or with stand and steps for gallery display.

2. ANOTHER VIEW OF COUNTING

Two 16mm projectors, two loops. Hands counting off the same interval of time - except one hand has six fingers.
It takes just as long anyway...
It doesn’t seem to make much difference how many fingers we have or how we try to count it.

Time keeps going by.
