JUST IDEAS BUT QUITE LIKELY TO END UP AS SOMETHING ONE DAY...
There are yards of thread wound round each free-running spool on the rack, the ends are woven together into something(?) which every day of its installation is wound back in and hurled across the gallery/space to make a new configuration, any tangled or broken threads just being cut and rejoined with knots. Maybe it could have a built-in catapult or launcher. Maybe it should be a little knitted missile?
A mass of objects is carried up a series of conveyors and then sprinkled in a continuous "rain onto a floor which slowly feeds them back up the conveyor system again in continuous fountain of things |

An alarm in box on a gallery ceiling that goes off every so often when something happens. What? I don't know yet but I'll think of something....
This is a variation on the orrery- I'd also like to send a rocket round a track on the surface of a moebius band.
Just a box with two sound sources in dialogue. Not sure why the antler is there - there was probably a reason at the time I drew it.
A circular frame, carried on the shoulders, that allows a number of garage inspection lamps to rest in a ring around the head at a distance of roughly 30cm. The lamps are quickly flashed on and off by a mechanical control unit in sequence to disorientate the wearer and induce an altered state.
The same apparatus installed on a statue.
Maybe part of some other set-up - a lectern with an autocue set in the top and a microphone for anyone to stand in and read out a text of some kind. Not sure where the speech would be heard or how...
A giant papier-maché Carnival head, the type you get in and carry with just your legs sticking out the bottom. Stalin I thought, engineer of the human soul, studded with coloured bulbs. Or maybe the God Vishwakarma* the divine engineer, and at the end of the day I throw it in the Ganges (see Vishwakarma) |

Not really an idea, just an observation part of my industrial racking fetish.
This is a toasting machine, on a signal a shot of vodka is poured into a glass and the glass is hurled into the fireplace with a loud "Na Zdrowie". It's accessed via a webcam and you get to log on and type a toast and when you hit Return it runs through the sequence. |
