Actually it says something else now, at least it will for a while. To “programme” it I have to connect up about 160 different wires - it’s another example of discourse without intelligence, or maybe even Machine Stupidity.

* “Shop Or Die” over and over and over again.... spelt out in 25w clear lightbulbs in a shop window in Leeds 21st March to 1st May 2005.
This is one of series that monumentalises texts and messages (see Motivational Poster “There is No Promised Land...”) in this case spelling out a message in light bulbs to transform the surrounding area and flood it with a light almost too strong to allow a clear reading unless the viewer steps back out of its range. This is simple technology, but it transfigures and transforms!
